CHS GOES BLUE!
Each school year, Senior Beta Club selects an organization for our local philanthropy. This year, we have chosen MedCamps of Louisiana. MedCamps’ mission is to improve the health and wellness of people living with chronic illnesses and disabilities through unique recreational and educational camping experiences! Due to community support and donations, one week out of each summer, children with diabetes, ages 8-16, are invited to MedCamps free of charge. As you may know, several students and factulty members at CHS are affected by Type 1 Diabetes. In honor of Type 1 Diabetes Awareness Month, and our Type 1 Tigers, we are collecting money to donate to this non-profit organization, so that young people throughout Louisiana may have the life-changing experience offered by MedCamps.
On Wednesday, November 20th, students are encourage to bring a donation. Any student who brings a donation of at least $1 will be given a sweet treate, and he/she may wear a hat to school that day! Also, please wear blue to show your support for this wonderful cause.
